20th anniversary
qepHom Saarbrücken

Starting with the qep'a' in Brussels of 2001, the foundation for the German qepHom, the Klingon language meeting, was established. In the meantime, the German meeting has outgrown its American big brother. This huge success is thanked to its long term attendeed. That's why we now want to celebrate the 20th anniversary on big scale.

In addition to the regular lessons, games and exercises, we will take the time to raise the glass of bloodwine and remember the previous meetings.

We listened to your requests and agreed to make the qepHom last even one day longer. This means that beginner classes start on Wednesday, and you can arrive even on Tuesday.


Yes, indeed – It starts on Tuesday. But don't expect too much on the first day, that is really just the arrival day. You can use it to prepare for the meeting and get aquainted to the climate in case your trip is a bit longer.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the qepHom in 2006, we created the first so called „qepHom-Film“. At the tenth anniversary in 2011, we made the sequel entitled „qepHom: Reloaded“.

Now, for the 20th anniversary, the trilogy is complete!


Special invited guests and attendees of the qepHom will have this unique opportunity to watch this exciting and also very emotional flashback on the past twenty years on the large screen. This will happen within a a special atmosphere with red carpet, champagne and popcorn inclusive.

By the way, this movie we talk about here contains a lot more than what has been announced publically so far.

Right after the movie premiere with red carpet we offer you an unforgettable closing party to celebrate the twentieth anniversary:

Dress code

To celebrate our movie premiere and the gala diner in an adequate surrounding, we wish that all attendees are dressed in a proper manner – This means that we expect everyone to wear either a tuxedo with a tie or a nice dress or anything similar. Of course, also Star Trek style gala uniforms are permitted, and we hope to get some aliens in a tuxedo as well. This is not just a wish, it is mandatory.

You are not generally forced to wear a classic suit. But it will create a special ambiance.

There a few genereal rules:

ACCEPTED:
  • Tuxedo with necktie or bow tie
  • Cocktailkleid
  • elegant cosplays
  • any elegant style clothing e.g. the gala uniforms from Star Trek, Steampunk-dress etc.
  • special uniforms of any kind
  • combinations of any of these with a Klingon forehead
NOT PERMITTED:
  • Denim Jeans, no matter which color
  • daily clothing like T-shirts, pullover, hoodies, Tank Tops, Shorts etc.
  • usual Klingon uniform of whatever kind
  • erotic or strange clothing
  • Flip-flops, slippers, sport shoes

Entrance fee

You can attend this special one of a kind event for 129,- Euro.

This price includes 5 days of intense Klingon language training, unforgettable moments with the Klingon language creator Marc Okrand and the author and Klingon teacher Lieven L. Litaer, as well as a unique movie premiere with a red carpet event with champagne, and a closing party you will never forget!

The banquet contains a huge buffet in a very special surrounding. All softdrinks and water are inclusive and there will be a special program with Live-Musik and surprises.

In addition to that, you'll get – as usual – several gimmicks, material for learning and useful information to learn Klingon.

The registration for this anniversary event will be activated at the end of november 2021, so that you have enough time to make your plans. Registration deadline is June 30, 2022.
